Now that the leaves are falling and we have all ready had a small bout ot snow in our mist I Just wanted to post a few Photos of our summer 2010 adventures this year.. it has been a busy and fun summer! Aaron has been loving our new boat and would have literally been on the lake every day... had we only the time! We did a lot of swimming, a lot of boating, some landscaping, don't even get me started on what has to be still done there:( all in time I guess. We went camping , roasted marshmellows in the canyon, parades, picnics..ect... We were outside enough that we were all actually sporting a little tan, of course that has faded now... and I am morning the loss of our summer. We do love fall though and riley is so excited for halloween:)

I just love little sweet moments of fun that we have with Ry guy! He is so cute and fun and I truly enjoy him. Tonight he was playing with the camera and wanted to take our picture....with the peace sign....so funny. And I think he did pretty good;) Then he wanted one of all of us....It was so fun, Jax was in bed so he missed out but lets be realistic...not possible if he were awake!

This last weekend we had a little family reunion with my family..My mom and Hunter, My sister Summers and her boys and Granny all came to stay with us. We had a blast! It was Lehi Round-up week which is so fun we went to the parade the park and Rodeo. Aaron took Caden and Hunter paintballing, and we took tin foil dinners to the canyon and rosted smores. We dont get together all the time so it was great to see everyone and spend some quality time together! Her are a few snapshots from the last few days.

So over Memorial Day we headed to Delta with all of Aaron's Family. We had a great time 4 wheeling, hiking, exploring, digging! We dug for Tralibites that have been imprinted in mud for thousands of years, found crystal's in topaz mountain, Uncle Miles saved Riley from drowning at the Hotel pool...You know just a good time! It was a really a great family weekend! Thanks to Grandma for putting all together for us. So while we were there we had a little birthday party for Jax at the local bowling alley. The cousins loved it and we had pizza ( Pretty good Pizza from this little hole in the wall joint) and cake and ice cream...Jax dug into his very own bunt cake and we practicly hosed him down in the bathroom! He loved it!

Sharp...

Riley describes any thing that is rough as Sharp...So his favorite blanket after one million washes is now SHARP.... Daddy's facial hair is Sharp. My legs the other night when we we cuddling on the couch...Sharp;)
And he thinks being sharp means you work...AKA daddy was allways working on our house and so he was SOOO Sharp, so when he felt my legs he says mommy you are Sharp because you work so hard! Cute...

Also the other Sunday Aaron was holding Riley on the couch watching basketball and Riley looks up at him and says

"When I am big and you are mall..(small) I will hold you Daddy."

We are ALIVE!

Okay...I have been off my blog for so long...but we are still here! We have finished...well kind of...right? For those who know us we will allways have projects to do! My advice to all is if you can avoid it....never build a home! I have been comparing it to a new baby...the last few months are so long and the whole time you are kinda onry and tired and wonder why you got your self in that predicamint in the first place! Then you give birth..or finish the home and you are happy and forget how bad it was fairly quickly after the fact. So that being said here we are and we are loving it! We love our new house and are just know starting to feel setteled, its fun. We like our new nieghborhood...but do miss our Traverse Mountain friends though. We like being closer to things here in Lehi, rec center, library etc... Aaron has worked so hard for the last three months and I am so glad he can relax a little now and recoupe. He did such an amazing job for us and I am so proud of his work ethic and his fearless spirit, I love him. Here is how our babies are doing...

Ry: Daddy......Sometimes.....Thanksgiving time means party time....

Then tonight he dropped and peanut on the floor and he says

Ry: Mommy(crying...) Zoey ate my nut!
Me: Did you drop it on the floor?
Ry: Uh uh
Me: anything that falls on the floor Zoey is going to eat....

A few minutes later Riley falls on the floor and said..
Ry: I falled on the floor, Zoey is can eat me.......I'm a NUT!

I am loving the weather here in St. George. The kids and I came down here last week for my dear friend Libby's wedding in Vegas. It was such a fun wedding and I loved seeing her and a few of my friends from hygiene school.. So fun, so nostalgic being back in Vegas and catching up on things with my girls. So we stayed here and Aaron is coming down tonight and I am so happy, I've missed him and I'm glad he will get a little reprieve from all the work he has been doing on our new house...i need to post a few pics of it. So anyway, looking forward to seeing all of our family and enjoying Thanksgiving and I am so glad that we have just a little time to stop and remember all of our blessings....

We Love Halloween at our house and Aaron would celebrate all year if he could and I have to say I am becoming quite fond of it too especially now that I have my babies! So Riley decided on his very own that he was going to be a bat...for a moment i panicked when I thought i was going to be making bat wings but luckily our neighbor had a cute bat costume that was perfect. And my mom had given Riley the little ghost costume but he never had a chance to use it so it was perfect for Jax! So they were the cutest Ghost and bat ever!

CraZy LiFe

So to say the last few months have been a bit hectic may be a slight understatment! We have been our share of busy and we are not quite there yet in terms of it being over with;) First, we sold our home on Traverse sort of quickly and unexpectedly but we were excited too. After looking quickly for a "good" deal.. We found a house that we fell in love with! Its on West Lehi on half of an acre and the kicker is that it is not quite finished....Hence the work has begun to finish it starting with getting the owner/builder construction loan which is by no means and easy task. Aaron will be doing alot but we had to get bids for everything and get all the other million loan things ready! It was non stop, but we finally closed yesterday! We are excited to get started and so now we are starting the really fun and hard part! I can't tell you how many Baby Enistiens Riley has been watching while to and from the house. And sad to say I have been on the phone way to much as of late. So we have moved and renting a friends house in the interm and are anxious to get in our new house! Other than that Jax is still to good to be true...totally sweet baby and Riley is perfectly fiesty firecracker and I love him! Hunter is with us too and I think he is finally adjusting....Such is life at the moment

Jax turned four months old yesterday on the 2nd, So here is my little Jaxer Boy...not much to say other than he is an absolute angel baby still....He has really not started to to try to roll or anything because he is perfectly content just sitting/laying and watching all the craziness around him..(AKA big brother Riley).... We had Aaron's big Lee Family reunion a few weeks ago and thought it would be the perfect oppurtunity to bless Jax while most all the Family was there. Aaron did the blessing in the Kanosh park on the 26th of July. It was such a sweet and surene experiance...there was somthing about being outside on a quite Sunday morning that just made the spirit feel so strong...It was lovley. Summer Days...

So every summer about this time I have a birthday...I was really done counting at 25 but I guess everyone else wasn't. But yes it came again and I am another year older now 27 and wiser too...maybe. All I can say is that I woke up and it felt like an average day at home with my kids and then all my good friends, family, and neighbors called and Hope and Aspen even came over with lunch for us! Even my book club girls celebrated for me, and once again by the end of the day it really was a great Birthday! Aaron even went to the MALL to pick me out a gift...(totally out of his confort zone) but so sweet;)So I guess it is not so bad if they keep coming.... Oh, but the festivites did not stop there, when we went to Mesquite the following weekend Aaron's mom threw me a little party too...so Here is Jax and I with my birthday cake...Once again so Sweet;)

We had a great 4th of July...Hunter was here to visit and we did all sorts of fun summer things. I am just soaking up all this summmer sun and hope it sustains me all year.
What we have been doing ...Seven Peaks, 4th, eating an entire HUGE bag of kettle corn, fireworks, and a new trampoline...

So I took Riley and Aspen to the horse parade in Lehi for Lehi Round up Days...It is just a little parade but I wanted to take him to one because we were going to be out of town for the big one on Saturday... He loved it...He loves horses and is just getting the concept of the candy dash and grab. I love summer time and all the little festivites. I love these shots( thanks to Julie;) those blue eyes...I hope they never change! I think he is just inspecting his candy in the other pic...not sure but so cute;)

So our family is gone and we are here alone trying to figure out our new life with our sweetie Jax. Thankfully I have an awesome husband who has all ways been very hands on but now more than ever I have needed and enjoyed his help! Aaron has been so great with Riley, although he never ceases to tell me how we need to potty train Ry Guy after all the diapers he has changed over the last almost 2 weeks...lol Having 2 babies is really when it becomes a team effort. We had a great time with my family this last week and I am so grateful for their help, Thanks so much sis and mom! (FYI)- my sister is an amazing cook so as you can imagine there was no shortage of delectable food while they were here. Yummy, although not helping with the baby weight;)
Saturday was kinda rainy again but for a few minutes it was nice and we got our kites out and I snapped this cute photo of my boys...

So our new baby is an absolute ANGEL! He is so sweet and good, we are just loving him up. He came in at 7 lbs 6 oz and 19.5 inches long, born June 2 at 7:30 am. My in laws came to stay with Ry Guy while we were in the Hospital and that was so sweet of them! Thanks to everyone around us ( you know who you are;) for all your love and support! We live in an awesome neighborhood! There is nothing like having a baby at home and all is falling into place. My mom and sister are here helping me out right now so life is good.. So for Riley's birthday back in January I had a gift card to use and I wanted to get Riley a wagon...Okay these are not cheap like you might expect..( note to self) Anyway, I realized that I must get the double one with our blessed event coming up soon. So I finally got the wagon now that it is spring time!!!! Then it sat in the garage for a few a weeks because there was "assembly required" but alas I put the wagon together and we took it on our first walk last night. Riley absolutly LOVES it and kinda threw a little tantrum when we were done and did not get out literally for 30 mins we finally had to bribe him with 2 dum dums and even then it took some cohersion.....So Cute, I snapped these photos of him just sitting in the wagon in the garage....thinking about life and why his ride had to come to an end?

T R O U B L E

I was looking through the camera and realized that I must of forgot to post about this little story...So Riley's little friend Evan (who lives across the street) came over one night for a few hours. Which is great because it keeps Riley entertained and they have a good time together. While I was doing.....Whatever? (Who Knows?) I realized that they had been in Riley's room for a while and they were quite so sure enough I open the door to discover first of all that the door handle was very slimy and slippery and the smell of menthol filled the room! They had gotten into the Vicks Vapor rub! And let me just say that is hard to CLEAN UP! But it was so funny because they both had unzipped their jammies partially in the front to apply it to their chest...I loved it! Riley seems to have no interest in really "getting into" things (believe me he gives me other challenges!) so this was kinda a first for him and thanks to Evan they were able to unscrew the lid...Anyway, here are the Crime Scene Photos... Okay so here is the new JEEP ta dah!!!!

We headed to Mesquite for Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's...Riley Loves to go there...This was our first LONG trip in the car since we have given up the BINKY, so we were a little nervous about how long the trip was actually going to feel! But to our surprise he did great and did not even ask for it once! I could not believe it and what I really realized it that I was the one holding on to it I think in an effort to keep him small and hold on to his fleeting babyhood. It was not really planned to take it away since he really only had it in the car and at night when he went to bed but one day he was looking for it and he says

Riley: "where's Rileys bo bo go?" (as he was shrugging his shoulders and then he says)

Riley:"Big Truck took Bo bo's all gone?"

(Right then I had a light bulb turn on and I seized the opportunity and said...)

Me: "YES, the big truck did take your bo bo and gave them to all the little babies." My baby is a GENIUS...It totally made sense to him and he has the perfect cause and effect!

Well, it worked! We have not needed it since and really we don't even miss it...It's amazing how some things are easier than expected!
The next big thing we conquered this week was moving Riley to his new room downstairs. Again no Problem, he did so good and I think that the new car and truck sheets helped! So were doing good and getting ready for the baby, although (and I'm sure every 2nd mom can relate) I don't want to rush my little Ry Guy to grow up to fast.

So Aaron and I took Ry Guy to Disney on Ice a few weeks ago....And if you had asked me a few months ago I would say that there is no way that he could sit through it...but oh how a few months can change a little guy! His attention span is improving and he is getting alot better at taking places! Thank goodness! SO it was so fun and we loved looking at his face when he finally saw Mickey and Minne that we had been talking about!

Aaron got a new Ride!!! For those of you who know him you know he LOVES jeeps and has had 3...now 4! The last one he has had since he was 16! Well, we are about to grow out of it with Baby #2 so we upgraded to the 4 door jeep wrangler!

As for me things have been up and down with the work situation but I think I figured it out at least until the baby comes. I'll be working Tue and Thurs and possibly starting with a Dr that I worked with a few years ago after the baby comes...I have learned in the last few months that the only person who is looking out for me in the work world is Me! I won't get into the details but....I'm sure it will all work out I mean what other choice do I have?

Riley is getting so Big! He is just as independent as a he is smart! He is learning and putting sentences and words together just as fast as we can teach him. He retains even the smallest bits of information! His favorite phrases right now are...

He loves to play hide and seek and like he is a monster! Loves Choo Choo Trains of all sorts!
Today I took him to the Kangaroo Zoo and wore him out completely! He is so much fun to hang out with and I wonder how our little dynamics will change with our new little guy! Although we are so excited about the baby though and only have 2 more months although he can take as long as he needs! We are getting Riley's room ready downstairs so hopefully that transition will go well....to be continued ;)

Our Little Get Away....

So Aaron and I just got back last week from Florida for a small vacation!! We had so much fun, we went to Disney World, and just hung out together! We were so tired after this vaca and we didn't even have Riley! He stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa Woods in Mesquite..he was totally spoiled by all the Aunts and cousins and of course Grandma and Grandpa! He did really good and I don't think he missed us at All! It was so fun for us to get away together. You really don't realize how much attention a little Two year old takes! Besides the fact that my feet were the size of watermelons after walking for 6 days straight...( I swear we walked about 20 miles) I felt really good! Ready for another vacation, maybe a beach where we do nothing all day!

We had a little party for Riley at Pirates Island Pizza in St. George! It was actually a really fun place to have his party and I think all the cousins had a great time. We had mostly family there and that ended up being about 20 people or so...We ate pizza, played in the arcade, Riley played in the little pirate place( so cute), opened presents and of course had chocolate cake from costco and ice cream! It was a blast!

We are a little late but...

we had our 20 week baby ultrasound on Fri....Since we had gone to fetal photos to find out the sex I scheduled it kinda late but anyway.....Everything is healthy as far as they can tell! I can't explain the relief I feel knowing that so far we have a healthy baby. Aaron says he was more nervous with Riley but I for some reason wanted needed that reassurance with this little guy. I guess once I have had Ry-guy and realize how much you can love someone and want all the best things in the world for them and give them the best life possible a good start is for them to make it here safe and sound. So for the time being I feeling blessed have a new baby on the way and all the joy that brings...
All of the "Guys" in Aaron's family were here this weekend for the SuperBowl Party and I have to say I think it was a huge success all the boys had a great time and Val (Aaron's dad) puts so much effort into bringing gifts and prizes for things like closest score and if your team made it to the Superbowl..etc.. and making it really memorable and fun for everyone! He even wrapped all the presents! Aaron had fun using his deep fryer again for all the "Footballesk" foods we served! I love that Riley is a tough little guy because he has fun keeping up with all his "big" boy cousins and they love roughing around with him. He was thoroughly entertained.

HaPpY BiRtHdAy to my independent, loving, strong willed, smart, hilarious...Now 2 year OlD. Oh my where has the time gone? It seems like not to long ago he needed me more than I had time to give now he acts like he is so big he hardly needs me at all. Except for the basics such as food, shelter, safety. But one things for sure I NEED this little man in my life. He has taught me more about love, patience, and understanding than I ever knew in my 24 years "pre" Riley. Now with a new baby on the way I hope that I am able to still give you all that you need and enjoy all of your milestones on this journey of life that we are living through you. I love you so much Ry Guy...Happy Birthday

One of the milestones in point....he is now climbing out of his CRIB!! I've dreaded this day....So last night I took Suppernannys advice and put him back in bed about oh 20 TIMES (calmly I might add)...then finally we tied his door handle to the bathroom door with a scarf and after about 45 min of crying this is what we found...notice he pulled the door stop off of the wall too.....What a big boy!!!!????

Christmas and Such..

So today I think I trying to find any valid excuse to continue to post pone cleaning my all ways dirty floors...So I'm finally blogging about Christmas and our latest happenings! We had a great Christmas this year, my sister Summer and her two boys Caden 12 and Tristan 5 came to visit for a little over a week! It was great, I really only get to see them about 3 or 4 times a year. She stayed her with us for a few days then we headed to St. George to have Christmas on Christmas Eve with my mom. It took us way too long to get down south with the weather and at one point we had all the kids screaming and my sister looks to me and says "If you want to have 3 kids go right ahead"...We were laughing so hard! Ya this whole kid thing is not easy in fact I'm a little nervous about adding another to the mix although I know, I know it will be FINE! But I just can't help but question my maternal skills and wonder how good I'll be...You know I only get one shot to raise these babies.....that's alot of pressure? Oh, and we found out we are having another BOY! I am happy and my check book is ReAllY HaPpY! So Anyway, we had a ton of parties ( thanks Summers amazing cooking skills) and get togethers with both Aaron's and my families and Riley got totally spoiled( as usual) in fact his birthday is on the 22nd and I can't think of anything that he is possibly in need of! My house is being overrun by ToYs! Oh and the pictures of Aaron cooking.....Well he got a deep Fryer for Christmas and has been using it obsessively since...my favorite was the donuts...so yummy!

So Riley is totally into Handy Manny these days....He evens trys to sing the song! In the song he says Vamanos ( in Spanish...) so we were trying to teach him to say it...Aaron broke it down into 2 words vama and nos. So Riley repeats after Aaron and says vama and then nos, naturally we were cheering and saying good job Riley....then he turns to Aaron and says daddy nose! The whole time he thought we were saying Mama nose.....so funny, we were cracking up, I had to write it down before I forgot!

While down south we took a trip to Vegas for our 8 YEAR Anniversary and caught the fountain show at the Balgio just in time.... Went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and took a little trip down memory lane visiting our old neighborhoods and houses while we had lived there for 5 years. Aaron had not even been back since we had moved here to Lehi so it was a fun look back...happy to be where we are now...

And dropped Hunter off at In and Out.....(to go with Krissy to Disneyland...lucky kid)

So I'm feeling better than i have the last few weeks...maybe all I needed was a few good days in the sun in Mesquite! We had a great Thanksgiving weekend, I stayed with my mom on Wednesday night and kept her up until 1am! The two of us could really talk for hours about nothing really but I love our precious time together in between her working schedule...My mom and I have a really close relationship and I'm sure like most mother and daughters it is at times a love/hate relationship at times but she really is my parental rock and I know I can tell her anything with very little judgement and she will ALL WAYS give me her honest view point, I love her! Then Riley, Hunter and I headed to Mesquite and we had the usual group of Woods, Lee and Jones family...great food, good times, and as all ways a bit of drama...a tradition family Thanksgiving! It was a bit rainy on Thursday but I still let him play outside and get totally muddy...then the rest of the days were Great!!! So warm and sunny and I once again realized why people put up with those ridiculously hot months of Summer! Aaron came down on Friday...He rode is bike all the way from Salt Lake, but he said it was fine beside his sore bum! Then we rode 4 Wheelers and motorcylces, watched the motorcycle races, I took Arron to Twilght-which he liked- and we just hung out! I love it there and I love Arron's family,I am so blessed to have such a great extended family, so cute to see Riley with Grandma and Grandpa Woods.....So Picture are to come later!

Okay not sure if its the weather ( which really isn't that bad yet) or the fact that I'm a little over 3 months preg and my belly is all ready sticking TOO far out, the nausea, heartburn, or complete apathy and exhaustion but I'm just not feeling my happy little self. I hate complaints in fact I really try to avoid being too big of a complainer ( on my good days..) but I'm just feeling a little down and tired lately. My personality makes it a little hard for me because I all ways want to be "accomplishing" something but even the things that I "should" be doing I have no desire to do. What is up? Then my little Riley is totally looking at me like okay mom what are we doing today? and I'm thinking Mommy just wants to take a nap! Hopefully, I start to feel a little "normal" again as I get further along...Anyway, I want my blog to serve as form of journalism for our family so I want to write a little more about life in general.....So here its is "life" right now.
On a different note...I saw "Twilight" with my cute friends the other night and I am going to give it 4 out of 5 stars....I liked it and I was pleasantly surprised! Worth seeing for sure!
On Wends night Riley and I are heading to St. George for Thanksgiving with Aaron family, my mom is working, but Aaron has to stay home until Friday because he is on call for work..how sad is that, he wants me to go but he will be here in Lehi...He has plenty of options, our friends are very kind so he'll be okay, but it will be our first big holiday apart...Sad uh?

So I go to pick up Riley from Janell's ( my babysitter) and she tells me this funny story....She says that I would have to let her know if Riley is sick tonight because she was making cookies earlier in the day and left the kitchen for a minute leaving a tray of cookie dough on the counter....( you might know where this is going) So she comes back in a few and Riley was on the counter with his checks bulging! He ate 6 cookie dough cookies! lol, I think he gets that from me, he can't resit a good cookie even in dough form!

Okay part of me needs to post so that the BYU(not so fladdering picture) is not the first thing you see! As well as the fast that alot has happened in the last 2 weeks! For starters i had my first and prayerfully the last case of strep throat....Probaly the most sick I can ever remember being!!! I have a new found respect for my sister who gets strep a few times a years...so sorry sis=(, but I got my antibiotic and we were good. Second, we went to California! We went to the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Dinsneyland and California Adventure...so fun!!! (and pictures are to come), I'm at work right now in between patients so I'll have to put pictures up later. Anyway, we had a wonderful and much needed time away and Riley did great, all things considered. We didn't even need Benedryl for the airplane ride! Maybe the person in front of us wished that we had...But we made it! Third, I got my braces off....need I say more other than I no longer look like a 12 year old! Except, the cute little high schooler boy behind the counter at Chick-f-lay(spelling?) asked me what High School I cheered at because i was wearing my High School Cheer hoodie....How do you like that? Even without my braces he thought I was 18 or younger, I almost kissed him...Would that have been inapproriate? Okay moving on and last but not least Aaron and I found out we are going to be parents for the second time!!!! What? Am I crazy? So there you go...all the cats are out of the bag and there is our update!

So some of my neighbors might noy be very happy with us but we went to a BYU game on Saturday...It was fun, I love watching LiVe football but to be honest I probaly watched the people more than the game! It was really fun though which probaly had something to with the fact that we left Ry-Guy at home with a BaBySittEr...May have been the best descion we have ever made! Now I am excited to maybe go to a night game when it gets a little cooler.......And they won...again... so go BYU!

Okay, so we (well Aaron..Actually) finally put a new window in our living room that we have been wanting to do for some time now. I needless to say was a little bit aprehensive about the whole "lets put a big hole in the wall" idea. But Aaron convinced me that it would be fine, and i LOVE the results. There is alot more natural light in the living room now and it looks GrEaT! In the words of Aaron "Where's Bob the Builder Now" (that is what he says to Riley every time he does something he is proud of because he thinks he is competing for Riley's admiration.....)

So today this guy came to the door offering a window cleaning service..Which I ironically had been asking Aaron to help me with for the last few weeks....And those of you who know me know that I am a pretty self- sufficient girl and I can usually clean my own windows but the two strikes against me where the hard water spots and I can't WORK OUR HUGE LATTER! So nothing wrong with helping a guy make a little honest days living right? After reading my dear friend Marta's blog about her time spent volunteering in an Guatemalan orphanage ( She is Awesome!) I kinda feel like this post is a little shallow and full of teen spirit but.... Okay, So I finally finished the Breaking Dawn book....I LOVED IT!!! I thought it was the best book in the entire series! Now, I and totally am in love with Edward...a little on the fence before. I was so relieved to find Bella a little more grown up and mature and less whiny. My cute father-in-law (that has read all the books) made me a little nervous when he said she liked this one the least but I LOVED IT...Oh, I all ready said that? Aaron's mom and dad were in town for Brandon's ( Aaron's nephew) baptisim on Saturday. So we had the pleasure of having them stay with us for a few days! So today they offered to stay home with Riley while Aaron and I took a drive on Aaron's new bike through the American Fork Canyon and the Alpine loop...So beautiful and such a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The weather is awesome right now...but it's kinda like Sunday night when you know you have to work on Monday because winter is just around the bend...

Labor Day Weekend and TUESDAY NIGHT..

We Headed to Mesquite for the weekend...My mom got us a room at the Eureka..Classy right? Well, I must say they have been remodeling and they are looking good!! The Pool is really nice unfortunately we only spent a small amount of time there in the jacuzzi...There was a a hail storm with lightning and thunder and a serious downpour of rain on Saturday so they closed the pool most of the day! Hey, and I thought we were going where it was really warm to veg by the pool all weekend! Saturday was my moms Birthday ( she is 30!!!...Right MOM? ) So we went to dinner and tried to see a movie but because of the power outage earlier in the day they had changed the movie time to 8:15 instead of 9:05...WHAT? Why would they do that? Anyway, we had left Riley with my mom in the Hotel and when we got back we found that they had both taken a fall in the MUD!!! Just a ordinary ziggy night for our family...It's totally normal! Besides all of that it was great to see everyone including all of Aaron's family too! We love and miss them so much! Riley is quite the mommas boy and it's quite evident when we go down there..I can hardly pry him off my hip at times...(It makes me feel good though...He he)
So tonight..another ziggy moment of weakness....I locked both sets of our keys in the car! And Aaron with his frugal heart tried so hard to get in but to no avail. So We called the lock smith...and $60.00 dollars and 2 mins later and we are back in the car!!! I wanted to take a picture of the "handsome" guy who saved the day but the camera was dead.
And Aaron finally got the "indestructible phone"... On sat night in Mesquite..when we come out from dinner Aaron gets his phone out and the screen is completely cracked..mind you he has had this phone for about a week ( it was a chocolate). He said he had no idea what happened or why it was cracked!!! Mysterious right? So he goes to Verizon tonight, they work out some deal and he ends up breaking down and getting the phone he probably should have gotten about 5 phones ago!!!!

Aaron's Big Day

So it was Aaron's birthday on Aug 17th!!! He is 28, man were getting old, Right? Well, what can I say about this guy..if any one deserves a great birthday its him! Aaron and I met when we were in High School, and I fell in love with him my senior year and have been head over heels since. Aaron is an amazing person, so genuine and kind to all the he meets. He is an incredibly hard worker which I know he gets from his parents. If Riley turns out like daddy I could not ask for a better gift as a mother. I am a lucky girl to have him in my life and I am so glad the stars lined up just right for me to meet him and claim him as my own. FYI that is why we got married so young...I totally did not want him on the market long enough to get snagged by some other chick!
Like most good birthdays we celebrated all weekend, Saturday we went to the Texas Roadhouse where Aaron rode the saddle gave us all his infamous Yee Haw, then Sunday (his actual birthday) we went to church and then meet up with Scott and Krista for a drive up the canyon to Mt Pleasant. And Monday night I surprised Aaron with dinner and a concert at La Caille ( a really beautiful French restaurant...for my fam down south) Scott and Krista drove up from Springville to watch Riley for us..Thank you so Much! We had an amazing time, the food and concert were awesome! Unfortunately, I was unable to capture it fully with pictures because my battery needed to be charged in the camera...I was only able to get 3 Pictures! And with how pricey La Caille is that might be the first and last visit....But Let's hope not! So here are the 3 pictures...

Then Last weekend was Aaron's Family Reunion in Kanosh! We just love going to Kanosh to enjiy the small town feel and seeing all the Family, It was a great time excluding the poor cow that my sister-in-law hit on the way back from the Hot Pots( Warm Springs)...Don't worry I think it was just a broken leg?? Anyway, we had a great weekend there...

Cedar Mountain for the 4th of July

So we just got back from the Cabin on Cedar Mountain for the 4th...We just love it up there! We meet Aarons Family in Cedar for their festivities then headed to the Pizza Factory for Lunch...Yummy...Riley had a melt down begging for more of Aaron's Diet Coke that we calmly and rationaly took care of by giving him a huge green apple sucker..(Note: that was my first time using the sucker trick....I'm not going to lie to you...it was AWESOME!!!) Then we headed up the mountain....Most of out time spent at the cabin is filled with Eating then Resting, then Eat then rest, eating and resting, reading....you get the point! My Amazing mother-in-law allways has the best meals picked out for us and she is so well prepared...I am amazed at this little lady and the effort she allways put forth for the whole family to have a great time when we get together! Aaron's sister Krissy and one of his brothers John were there too with their families. John took the kids on 3 fishing trips on Saturday and caought like 6 FISH!!! Riley did not partake in the fishing...I was afraid (almost sure) we would be fishing HIM out of Duck Creek!!!! Which brings me to my next thought....Does anyone else feel like locking themselves at home with their 17 month old?? He is Mr. Independent and is really working the tantrum card...Man, he keeps me running!!! And things seem to be harder away from home! All and All he a good baby but just as much of a ring tailed TOOT!
We didn't see a huge firework show just the smaller one that they put on at Duck Creek but it was just perfect...So fun to see all of Riley's first and his eyes light up in amazmazment with a healthy dose of fear at the Fireworks!! Although, I have to say the best Fireworks are in Filmore, Utah...We went there a few years ago...You are so close the ashes are coming down right on top of you...Nothing like a little life threating fiework show...Truly Amazing.
So Pictures of the Mountain trip are to come....I am typing this in bed as we speak and way to Lazy to go get my camera, so hope you all too had a great 4th!!!

Hard Times?

Okay this is a soap box moment so hold on....It seems like the whole world is disscussing the Hard times we are having with the gas, economy, housing market on and on and on....I just can't help to think back to a book I read not that long ago "The Secret", If you haven't read it I strongly suggest that you DO! It is hard to explain in a nut shell but mostly about the Law of Attraction in our lives and how our primary thoughts control our life's outcomes.
To bring that into my reason for this post, I feel like the country is foucsing so much on the difficulties facing us right now (the negative) that we are forgetting to be So Very Grateful for the gifts and blessings in our life (all the positive things) Therefore we are recieving more HaRd TiMeS because we are expecting them to happen! For me it is simple, I really just want to enjoy my little world and life and try hard not to camplain about the bad! I have a few family members who are having such a hard time and one that I talked to tonight where all he did was complain about the hard hand that life has dealt him and the horrible state of the world, even listening to his problems brings me down. Lets be Honest we all have issues and problems to face....I sound so cliche...Anyway, I am convinced the attitude we attack life with makes a differance! What can it hurt to remember and think of the positve and see the beauty in the world and chose to see the world as beautiful. My thoughts for the day, Thankyou...I'll be here all week!

So I had AnOtHeR birthday...I worked so at first it just felt like another day and then i really did feel special when all sorts of people go out of their way to make me feel special.. Dr L got us all Cafe Rio for lunch and he and his wife also got me a digital scrapbooking program that I had been wanting, I thought that was so great of them. My sweet mother in-law sent me flowers, all my family called me and alot of my sweet friends called including one of my best friends from hygiene school in Las Vegas( she is so good about remembering bithdays) I just love her....Thanks Libby. Also, my cute visiting teachers brought me a homemade ChOclAtE cake and a gift...So Nice of Them. All in all I am a wonderful birhtday and I am grateful for my day.

Then because it was Fathers Day and only because it was Fathers Day we let Aaron bet us in a game of Monopoly...(Aaron is a Monopoly tyrant and must ALLWAYS win!) Okay then Aaron full on says I hope that this is a gift card to Rocky Mountain Power Sports as he is opening the cute card and gift I gave him witch was a really nice pair of pants and a shirt...Whatever, he looks way hotter in that then a gift card? So I have been really slow on the blogging but there really hasn't been to much to blog about...just kinda the same old for us! Although I do have to have to toot Aaron's horn and say CONGRATS because he got a promotion at work (Salt Lake City) I am not sure of the official title bit the important thing is that is involves a raise!!!! This is a big deal for him because he has only worked there for about 7 months and there was someone who had worked there 7 years who was going up against him! Aaron is well liked and a super hard worker and I am so proud of him! Anyway, I guess we are staying here for a while.....We all ways go back in forth on moving back home or not but things are good here and we really can't complain, We just miss our family!! Well, I am a little behind on my Oprah episodes...I just watched the Tom Cruise special....Although I think he is at times a little nutty.....I LiKe HiM! A slight crush if you would like to call it, I remember watching Top Gun when I was 12 thinking that I so wish I was that girl with the dorky hair cut making out with him to "Take My Breath Away"....Even watching him on Oprah sort of makes my heart skip a little beat. I Know I am a total dork, and the image is all ways way better than reality?!?! Lets face it he is a little to short, little old for me and I really don't believe that we came from Aliens... so I am sorry Tom is just won't work out for us...Maybe we are better as Friends?

So Happy Mothers Day to ALL!!! I had a wonderful Mothers Day! Aaron got me a waffle maker and made me waffles for breakfast mmmm delesious! After 7 years of marraige we had not yet invested in a waffle maker and to Aaron's embarrasment I allways want to barrow our neighbors to make our Saturday waffles so I am glad that we have our very own now! Then we went to church fully intending on staying the entire 3 Hours...Well, After the entire hour of sacrament spent out in the hall with a whiny and sometimes crying baby and all the other time just running up and down the halls, I could not see doing it for another 2 hours! How do people handle chruch with 15 month old babies? I really don't want to rush things but nursury will be nice when the time comes!! I also just want to give a shout out to all the Mothers in my life....I love you all and am so thankful for your influance on me!

Although the waffle maker is great these are the two best Mother's Day gifts a girl could ask for.....I am Thankful for my two little boys ;)

Okay so Let me first just apologize to my co-workers at DC Dental....Yesterday we were having our monthy staff meeting, Dr L had bought us lunch and we were all eating at the table in the break room...Thankfully we were almost done when I was chewing my last bite of salad I started to take a drink out of my water bottle and I started to choke...I couldn't swallow my water and thanks to the bodies natrual regurgatation mechanisim, and with no time to even think about it and possibly TuRn AwAy!!!!....... I spit (SpRaYeD)all the water in my mouth all over the table (You get the point...) I was so embarrassed it was like a movie scene playing out slowly in my mind! Did that really just HaPpEn? I am a total goof ball and do kindof emabarrasing things on a daily basis...Although this was a cake topper! I guess its Lifes way of telling us not to take ourselves to serously....Anyway, AgAiN I am sorry to all of those who had to witnes this display...On a positive note at least it was just water and not Friut Punch, Food Etc...? RiGhT? So Embarrasing!

So Dawn is leaving us at DRD...She thinks that she might be pregnant or something? Anyway, Can I just tell you how sad this makes me!!! She has been so much fun to work with, and has helped me so very much everyday!!! She is truly a sweet and caring person, one of the people in life that you are drawn to and want to remain Friends with forever!Ode to Dawn and fair well with your next adventure.....THE BABY! FYI, she does not know what the baby is! That takes some serious pacience...I had to pay $80 to find out early at fetal photos at 16 weeks! Okay, so you must excuse me....I have 10 dinners to make for my meal exchange today at 2:30...That's right you heard me I haven't even started yet! OH DeAr!!!

A couple thoughts....I for some crazy reason decided to get braces on AGAIN!!! I had them when I was about 12 or 13 but my dentist/orthodontist thought for some crazy reason that I would not need to wear a retainer....unlike 100% of the rest of ortho cases?? Needless to say over time my teeth have shifted, it is slight but seeing how I'm in the teeth business it has all ways kinda drove me crazy so I finally decided to do something. With the soreness and discomfort I have had since they were put on on Friday I'm not sure if it was worth it yet! Although it is a great Diet! On the upside maybe I'll lose a few pounds! I was going to Post a Picture but in my current state which is no hair and no make up I thought it best to pass on the photo op!!! I'm sure you will all see me at some point, Hopefully they are only on for 6 months or So???!!!

On another note...Some of you might know that I am a total home project junky!! And to be honest Aaron is usually the work horse for me...Quite frankly he is getting a little bit tired of it and told me I Must SlOw DoWn!!! So I will...I promise! Our most recent project was painting our kitchen Island.....I know, I was nervous to but I think it looks great! I am still going to antique it but here it is.....

We just kinda hung around here at home for Easter, which was kinda nice...I just love hangin' out with my boys...We took Riley to a little egg hunt on Sat morning and then colored eggs, watched movies and hung out! So I really haven't fallen off the face of the earth.....I have just have had a hard time latley putting my blog as a priority, I struggle with doing just one thing at a time so I try and multi task so much so it os hard for me to just sit down and POST!!! I really try to blog for my family so they can see how we are and what we are up to since we don't get to see them as much as we would like. And up until last weekend I wasn't even sure if they looked at the blog, but my cute sister-in law Jenn says that she does check it often and like to see us....So, I thought I should post more!!!

This last week we had my little brother who is now 13 stay with us while he was on Spring Break, It was so fun and we just love having him around! I think I might wait about 12 years to have another baby because I can not tell you how helpful a 13 year old is with a baby!!!! (Thanks Hunter...Love ya) We went out to dinner with Aaron and Jacque....So much fun!!!

Have you been to the Melting Pot?? Well, I you haven't I strongly recommnend that you go!!! It is delectable and so much Fun...For those, who do not know...it is a fondue resturant, they make everything fresh right in front of you on your table...Again, it is just so much fun!!! Well, this last weekend we had a chance to go with our Great friends Aaron and Jacque..it was an amazing time and we can't thank them enough for the good time we had!!!!We also got to leave Ry Guy home, witch was a must but very apreciated considering the post a while ago where I thought our nights of actually enjoying a resturaunt were over!!!! AHHHH...Good food, conversation, and of course CHOCOLATE!!! It was a fabulous night on the town for Us!!!!

I am a total blogging loser...I have not posted for the longest time...It seems like I am not the only one though, As I looked through the blogs it looks like everyone is a little slow...Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
Life is really busy for me right now and getting busier every day as Riley discovers more ways to get into things, throw little temper tantrums, make HUGE messes and develope his hilarious personality....I'm sure you all know what I mean....and I actually had a little break down the other night when I realized that our movie nights with Riley and peaceful dinners out with friends are offically over...He is way to busy for that! Thankyou to Aaron for dealing with my little breakdown( AKA Big Breakdown...;)the other night! Ah, the seasons of life.... I know that nothing is permanant and I won't be standing in the foyer of a resturant trying to get Riley to quit crying when he is 18....but I'm sure it will come so fast I'll probaly wish I was......

Looking at those pictures of last year when I just had Riley and my hair was long makes me want it back again...You know how some things don't turn out quite as planned?? Well, it has been a long week for me...I recently started working on Wends until 2 pm, So that means I work 2.5 days now and it has really been a challenge. I miss being home more with Riley and I have a new respect for working moms! My mom has allways been a single mom raising four kids and I really had no idea how hard it is to work and be a mom and I only work part time!!! So I just want to give a shout out to my mom and all the other working moms or moms in general....Thanks for all you do:) So Riley is going to be one year old on Tuesday...I can't believe it! We are headed down to St. George to see all of our Family for his first Birthday!!!

Due to some recent questions at my book club tonight...:) I am making a clarification about who Zoey is... She is our 5 year old beagle! So NO I am not pregnant( he, he) Sorry about any confusion I may have caused :) We love ZoZO, we have had her for about 5 years now and I know there are some beagle lovers out there but I have to say she is the best! She does not bark at all!!! And in her older years she has actually learned how to obey....Well, we are still working on that at times, but for the most part she is Great!!! Wow! January is a Crazy Month So Far....

Wow, I have been so busy lately....And it is mostly my fault! We have been doing so many things to our house and with me one project inevitably will turn into five and suddenly when I went to straighten up a closet I am putting all of my photos in albums!!! Although I am really glad I am getting all of these things that I have had in the back of my mind accomplished I have put blogging on the back burner for a moment...Sorry. Just to give you an idea in the last week Aaron and I have built a new shelf for the living room, Tiled the back splash, tiled the fireplace, painted the downstairs living room and bathroom, as previously mentioned- organized photos, whew, I'm exhausted just saying it...Oh, and working!!!! Anyway, I think I'm giving Aaron a break from the Honey do's...Well, after a few more things:) This is how I bring in the New Year..I guess.......Time is flying by, Riley will be a YEAR this Month...That can't be right? I demand a recount!

We went down to Mesquite and St. George( Side Note: It was soooo warm and beautiful!) Notice....I have no pictures with Santa! I am officially a bad mom, We were just a few people away in line a Tuacan on Saturday night( nothing like waiting until the last minute) and all of the sudden Riley did not feel Good! So I have to say I am really enjoying this Holiday Season...I am so glad that we have a time of year that we openly discuss on Tv, Radio etc...the spirit of giving, and Peace, Love. I was thinking the other day as I was driving, when else would I be hearing an uplifting story on the radio were it not for Christmas? I found this sweet little prayer in our Christmas devotional book.......
"Dear Lord, in this season of anticipation, renew my sense of wonder and excitement. When the days speed by help me slow down enough to open my eyes. So remember my previous post about Mcforgetful not emptying his pockets and his cell phone being washed....(Which I have to say there was an overwhelming consensus that most of you were on my side and do not empty pockets either) Well, after that unfortunate event another tragedy occured! Aaron went about 2 days without taking a cell phone with him to work and by the third day he just had to have one so he begged to take mine.......Mistake....So he comes home that very day and says " If I tell you something bad will it ruin our night?" Okay that's a loaded question! Well, I am not a very patient person and I just had to know what he was talking about.....He shows me this....

What the BEEP is that all about!!!!!!!Now he is definitely on the naughty list!

This last weekend was our 7 year anniversary!!!! Wow where does the time go? Hold on I am going to get a little sappy.....I am so lucky to be married to such a great guy! To Empty or not to Empty...that is the question?

So my stance is that I DO NOT empty pants pockets when doing laundry! I figure it takes less time to empty them as you are getting undressed than for me to go through all of the pockets myself Right???? Well, althought this has been my stance ever since I have started to do our laundry for some reason my dear husband refuses to follow this simple rule and as a result I have washed many things......Aaron will quickly remind you of the time I once washed a whole notebook, spiral ring and all. I know, you are thinking how was that in a pocket, Well, that was actually on top of the dryer and had fallen in....So, again not my fault:) He,he. Okay, so case in point for this blog...This weekend I washed Aaron's cell phone! I am truly sorry although I quickly reminded him that I DO NOT empty pockets! His argument was that it really wasn't in the laudry basket yet it was just lying on top? The cell phone was starting to dry out and it looks like there is a chance it might work again! Lets hope so because we just got them a few months ago!!!!! SO do you empty pockets??? Am I a bad Wife???

My First Hosting of Thanksgiving!!!!

Has anyone heard of an oven catching fire while the turkey cooks inside??? Yeah, MiNe DiD!!! The turkey had been in for about 2 hours and all of the sudden we here a loud noise from the oven and a burst of a flame......Frantically we called out for Tony( my firefighter brother in-law) and Aaron cuz we are girls what do we know........Well of course as soon as they run up from the basement where the football marathon was being held most of the flames had died down and upon further investigation we discovered that is was the coil inside! So what did we do you ask? Well, we called our neighbors ( Aaron and Jacque ) who were smart and were eating at their parents house!!! Anyhoo, they let us barrow their oven for the turkey, rolls and stuffing....So all was well....So I guess I couldn't expect things to be uneventful....I mean its me we are talking about!!! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!!!
